Individuals often struggle with proper form and depth due stiff hip or ankle, therefore performing box squats or wall sits can help activate those muscles that will be working during the lift.

This movement targets the chest muscle .and can be performed with the help of machines or dumbbell or barbell. It is recommended that an individual should choose a weight with the help of which he or she can perform at least 10 to 15 repetition. This accelerates the pushing strength in the body and is an excellent form of exercise both for beginners as well as experienced lifters. Lifters often arch their back when lifting the weight while performing bench press but it is advised to activate the core muscles and then start lifting as it can prevent lifters from injuring themselves. Beginner lifters are recommended to start with dumbbells or a smith machine because it creates stability and increases muscle contraction.

This exercise targets mid back and the muscles surrounding the lats. It is a great exercise and accelerates the pulling strength in the body. It can be performed with the help of a bench. Back rowing exercise can be done with the help of dumbbell, barbell or with the help of various machines that are available in the gym. It is an exercise that shapes the back muscles.

Deadlifts can be considered as a full body exercise as it targets more or less every muscles in the body. It is a compound lift that is generally performed by elite lifters but it is a great exercise for beginners as well. Generally this exercise is performed with a slightly heavier weight in order to maximize gains. Individuals are advised to use lifting belts while lifting heavy as this exercise is very prone to injuries. This exercise stabilize the spine and strengthens the lower back; lifters often hunch their entire back but this phenomenon causes the maximum injury. Therefore it is requested to lift responsibly.

This exercise targets the gluteus maximus (scientific name for glutes). This exercise is generally recommended to all desk job workers who sit all day and eventually the glute muscle becomes inactive and weak due to prolonged sitting. Glute bridge is an excellent exercise to activate the glute muscles while hip thrust strengthens the muscles. This exercise can be performed both with the help of barbell and dumbbells as well.

This exercise targets the lower back in general. This exercise is advised to individuals suffering from back injuries or chronic back pain. It strengthens the lower back muscles and can help us in general as our day to day chores involves bending and hunching over to pick up things or to carry things in general. For beginners it is recommended not to start with the full range of motion as it can load the lower back unnecessarily but to perform the exercise at his or her own pain free range of motion.

Planks can be performed both weighted or without weights. Side planks is also another challenging variation of plank along with plank pull through. These exercises significantly challenges the core muscles and stabilize them.
